Tenet 1: Womb Amnesia To The Journey:
"Our biggest enemy is ourselves when we learn ego and fear."
Self-discovery is based on your journey through each life. The biggest obstacle we all face is ourselves. Causes of that are the man made teachings of hate, doubt, and worry... Which all stem from fear. Fear is negativity. In order to see REAL Light within yourself, that requires eliminating the limitations we have imposed upon ourselves. Focusing your energy into positivity then projecting it onto others by getting "out of yourself" is necessity.
How This Will Help You:
From the spiritualistic standpoint, the entire meaning of this first tenet is about beating your ego and your fear. There is the true self and the false self. The latter of the two can fool you and lure you into believing that you are more than you are. Now, I have read MANY philosophies that take it to the extreme by saying, "kill the ego" or "eliminate the ego." I disagree. If you eliminate your ego, chances are, it's going to come back somewhere else in a different form. Instead, understand your ego and learn how to balance it for the benefit of your soul.
Ego and fear is made up of negativity. This negativity may be challenging but it is not impossible to realize when it surfaces. The reason why is because your ego is not the essence of you, or the sum total of who you are, including all the good and bad.
When you come to the understanding that you are a spiritual being who came here to learn lessons and to have experiences to perfect your soul, that is when these negative traits begin to balance out properly.
The truth is, no matter where you are in your life, if you choose this very moment to start looking at this first tenet, it will take on a new meaning today… And it will take on a new meaning tomorrow… Just as it had a new meaning yesterday. That's because our ego and fears shift out of balance every single day and usually shift out of balance in every single situation too. That is what makes our journey so complex. We forget where we came from. But it's never too late to understand what your journey is about and where you are going.
We always have a constant battle with ego and fear. But as long as you check in with yourself, daily, you can balance it out with all the positivity and light you can bring around yourself.
