These are just some of the hundreds of questions I get from clients as well as students. The heart of the questions never change, only the phrasing does. There have even been times where people have asked why I say "everyone is psychic" yet other psychics refer to this skill as a "gift." My answer is always the same, everyone is psychic, it's what you do in helping others with the skill that you already have that can make its potential be labeled as a gift.
Think about it for a second, how can any Psychic, including myself, offer classes and teach people how to do the exact same skill, if it's a gift? By consistently labeling it as a gift, that implies that God plays the pick and choose game only selecting certain people to have this self-proclaimed "gift", and is not giving this "gift" to others… Newsflash! God does not pick and choose! No one is more special than the other. Everyone is equally the same.
Every time a (new) Psychic steps into the limelight of the media, without fail, their name comes up somewhere in a reading, class, lecture, or conversation with me. The latest addition is the Long Island Medium. Before her, it was James Van Praagh. And before that it was John Edwards. The list goes on and on. So I'm going to break down a handful of Psychics and what they do and how I compare in what I do.
The first thing you have to understand is women "tend to be" more intuitive than men. This reason being is that women "often times" have a natural emotional ability about them. An example is that some women can get pregnant... Many women go through PMS (which is known as a monthly cycle where their body naturally releases toxins which results in hormonal changes.) Depending on who you were talking to, some Psychics say women are even more intuitive during their cycle, while some say they are more intuitive the week before building up to their cycle. Just as every person is different, that difference applies to those statements as well. I think it just depends on the woman herself. The point is, women "tend to" have a more emotional point of view. That point of view allows them to open up easier to their intuition. This is where the term "woman's intuition" was coined.
Men that are Intuitive's "usually"also come from more of an emotional point of view rather than having a one track way of looking at things. According to NINA, men who do come from a more emotional point of view have already lived as a female in a past life. That being said, those who naturally have an emotional point of view, are able to connect much easier than those without an emotional point of view. As you read about each Psychic, you will understand exactly what I mean when it comes to intuition. Now, let's begin with the reigning popular Psychic Medium from Long Island, Theresa Caputo!
Theresa Caputo: Based out of Long Island, New York, Theresa is quite a public personality. Aside from her well sharpened skill, her family is extremely entertaining on their reality show. When I do readings, I make it very clear to people that my reading style is not, nor has ever been, like Theresa's. Before I explain the difference, I will explain what is similar. She is a Mental Medium, as am I, and understands her relationship with her Spirit Guides. Her Guides do show her universal symbols that most psychics use during a connection. The way to connect is learning how to vibrate at a high frequency. If she were placed on a psychic scale of 1 to 10 (10 being most intuitive with high frequency), she would probably register at a 10 or above.
Prior to practicing Psychic Mediumship, what she would often mistake as anxiety, (which is what most people do,) was her conscious trying to fight off what was in her subconscious. The difference that I find in my style is I mostly hear directly from my Guide, NINA. Nina relays information into my right ear an into my subconscious. If I am in a reading and other spirits of the clients choose to connect, they are the ones usually showing me universal symbols. If I hear their voices, it's usually one or two words that I have to decipher to even understand what they are saying. Nina has a better feed to my hearing. Theresa on the other hand, links with her clients loved ones and hears full on sentences from them and her Guides, as well as seeing universal symbols. One way is not better than the other, nor is it really even that different... It's that her skill is sharpened to a level that her frequency picks up directly from a clients loved ones, whereas my frequency level reaches directly to my Spirit Guide who is a 3rd party messenger between me and my clients loved ones.
John Edward: I remember first hearing about John Edwards in the mid-90's. He began to start making a name for himself with his connections to The Other Side. The very first time that I saw him on television, I am immediately knew his strongest way of linking. It's called Psychometry. This is where Ectoplasm and Imprints come into play.
Ectoplasm is the tangible residue of energy that's transmitted between a psychic and a spirit.
Imprints are concentrated pockets of energy that's able to capture events that happened in a certain area.
An example of what John does is he is able to touch something and connect with the spirit world. He is very keen with objects especially. Jewelry seems to be where his strength of intuition is… Such as holding a watch, ring, necklace, brooch, and he is able to see universal symbols as well as hear from the previous owner(s) of the object. When it comes to Imprints, he is able to walk into a room and pick up on the leftover energy from the floors, walls, ceiling, furniture, etc... This is where he is able to explain a situation that happened inside of that room.
What's different between he and I is as many times that I have tried, I cannot hold an object, such as jewelry, and connect with spirit that way. My similarities with him are found in the latter... I am able to walk into a room and through Clairsentience, (which is French for clear-feeling) and with Nina, I can pick up on the situations that have previously occurred there. This is mostly done during haunting readings or crime solving readings.
Edgar Cayce: The incomparable "Sleeping Prophet" performed all his readings, healings, and metaphysical dictations of prophecy while in a deep state of self-induced hypnotic sleep. Edgar would only meet with his clients on very rare occasions as he chose for a majority of his readings to be done by mail. His preference was to laydown on a comfortable couch and his wife, Gertrude, would tell him the subjects name and address... He would go into a trance-like state of mind and begin spouting off information that his wife would take notes on. His accuracy rate stayed in the 90% percentile until his death (that he also predicted.)
He, along with Nostradamus and Jesus, are just 3 of the most respected Prophets in history. I do not usually go into a trance for a reading with other people. For me, what is similar to Edgar's style, is that I do go into trance when meditating and having my daily meetings with Nina. I definitely use those opportunities for prophecy of predicting the future. His information came from Infused Knowledge as well as his own Spirit Guides.
Nostradamus: If reality TV were around during the 1500s, Michel de Nostradame would have been the star of probably the most highest rated show on television. He preferred automatic writing for his predictions, but he also turned to the astrological chart as well. When it comes to automatic writing, I do like to use a version of that when having meetings with Nina regarding future events. The only other time that I use my notebook to write things down is during a Mediumship session with a client. I do so in order for the client to have a copy of every word, number, and date that I am able to hear directly from their loved ones and/or any direct information from my Spirit Guide that only the client and their loved ones would know.
Jeane Dixon: An Astrologer that looked to the stars for upcoming events. Jeane accurately predicted the assassination of President Kennedy and Martin Luther King. She went on to work with Nancy Reagan in the 80s, as well as appearing on TV shows such as The Golden Girls, and having a very popular syndicated news column of predictions. It seemed that Jeane, daughter of Little Rascals creator-Hal Roach, enjoyed her notoriety of fame (a bit much,) and went on to give (comical) "predictions" regarding celebrities.
Later in life, she even started appearing in second rate newspapers that often featured cover stories such as "The Human Bat-boy" and "Elvis Is Alive And Is The Manager Of Burger King." My favorite was "Princess Di & Michael Jackson will marry in a chapel located in Nebraska." While her twilight years were very entertaining, her work was not to be taken seriously at that point. Where we are most alike is I, like her, use Infused Knowledge for predicting more serious topics.
James van Praagh: Probably the one I have the most similarities with, James has been very vocal about his Guides, reincarnation, personality subject themes, charts, and we even have the same information regarding the "Reflective state of Consciousness." Another trait that we have in common is sincerity. We both deeply care about the clients well-being... often checking on them after a reading. The largest difference in our styles though is James does not reveal his Guides names, whereas I do… Along with that I also reveal everything else about the entire process... Including giving a lot of information and expectations about The Other Side.
Lisa Williams: If there was a psychic award for Miss Congeniality, Lisa certainly deserves it! She has such a cleansing Aura and healing energetic force field around her that it exudes every time she makes an appearance. That is definitely something I strive for every morning that I am blessed to wake up. Like me, she enjoys giving lectures on Mediumship just as much as she loves working individually with clients looking to connect with past loved ones.
What makes her different from my style of reading is that she often enjoys the power of crystals. She even likes them enough, that she sells them on her website. For me, as I've said before, I'm just not into tools for the simple fact that they don't work for what I do. If they help in your journey to enlightenment, then by all means, use them!
Rosie Cepero: The star of a reality show called "Angels Among Us" on the TLC network, Rosie says she is able to do readings by connecting to Angels. Some psychics need to "re-word" some things in order to make their types of clients and their audience comfortable. This is definitely a case of that! Her connections are extremely strong, but they are not with angels. She chooses to use the name "angels" over what they truly are, Spirit Guides. There is nothing wrong with that, other than it's partially misleading. We do can ask angels for help, healings, protection, and so forth… But we do not Psychically read people with information given directly from Angels. We also do not ever turn into Angels once we die. Angels are made as companions for humanity. Angels have not lived full incarnations. Spirit Guides have lived lives in order to perfect the soul. They guide us on our journey, just as we have guided and will guide again when we return Home. Angels are their own species. And there are many different levels of angels...(read the section "Angels.") That being said, the only major difference in myself and Rosie's reading styles is nothing more than the wording. She chooses to use the word "Angels" for familiarity and comfort of clients. I don't.
ADDITIONAL IMPORTANT INFORMATION:
This section could go on page after page, but you now have an idea of how things can be similar but can also be very different. I would also like to address the other popular Psychics that are found on Ghost Hunting shows and Haunting TV shows. There is no spirit, ghost, or any other entity on The Other Side that is capable of possessions, tortures, or murders to anyone in the land of the living. This is why you have Free Will. No per living or dead can take that Free Will away from you. Any Psychic, be it on television or not, that promotes such nonsense is doing exactly what many News channels do, and what many Religions do, which is plays off peoples fears to support their agendas. If that's the case, they should be ashamed of themselves! That is the first indication that they are a fraud. Also know that truthful Psychics are willing to give information on how to connect and link up with the spirit world. It is not a secret! Those that are not willing to tell you, are not being completely honest with you. Lastly, if you ever visit a Psychic for any reason, and they try to sell something to you, "Because you have a curse bestowed upon you", turn around and walk away, as they have already lied to you.
